Abstract

Delegates to the 59th Annual Convention of the Internation Order of B'nai B'rith are posed in front of the Guggenheim Pavilion at National Jewish Hospital. The men in suits and the women in dresses and hats are standing and sitting in five rows. Other buildings can be seen in the background. Beaumont Home for Nurses and The Hofheimer Children's Building at the hospital, both built largely through the efforts of Seraphine Pisko. A banquet and dance was held at the Albany Hotel. Abstract

Ben and Bessie Glass both came to the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS) as patients in 1928. Bessie Glass was treated for six years. They met in the hospital and married in 1931. Ben Glass was a printer at the JCRS bindery from 1928 through 1978. They discuss how the JCRS was like a large family of young adults from all over the country and talk about what life was like at the JCRS. They also talk about the transition from JCRS to AMC Cancer Center.
